Language learning has a lot in common with climbing a mountain. That is why we will combine the two in this interactive and hands on language learning session. You’ll learn how to significantly speed up your language learning as we together hike to Oslo’s perhaps best viewpoint: Grefsenkollen.
As we ascend, you'll learn how to structure your entire language learning journey, step by step and leave with a clear plan, practical tools, and the motivation to get started right away. Among other things, we'll:
Bust common myths about language learning
Discover effective techniques for vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation
Create your own plan for daily practice in speaking, writing, reading, and listening
The session is held by Erlend Skarsgard Nyheim who speaks six languages and has delivered hundreds of talks on effective language learning. Erlend is also the executive director of Effective Altruism Norway and has co-founded multiple organisations, including Sammen om en jobb, Hi Impact, and Handprints.
The day after this session we’ll have a separate session that puts everything you’ve learned into practice as you draft out a complete map of you language learning journey, and learn the most effective ways of practicing speaking, writing, reading, and listening. Read more and sign up here.
